“Impressions: An Exhibit of Breathtaking Images” by Ryan Z.

About the Artist
Ryan is a 3 1/2 year old cell phone photography prodigy. His expression of everyday objects often leave viewers in quiet amazement. Ryan currently uses an LG VX8300 cell phone to capture his images. While his mother and father are very proud of his work, they pray that he doesn’t ruin either of their phones until he becomes famous enough to buy them nicer ones.

“The Halls of Carbon”

This particular image is a bit of a treasure hunt for owners of the 1995 Carbon High Yearbook….10 points to the first to guess what you’re looking at!

“Computing”

With all the talk in Ryan’s house of what this year’s tax return might be, it’s no wonder thatย he saw this number crunching tool as a perfect photo op!

“Orb”

Every ghost hunter’s dream! Ryan has not yet divulged whether he had contact with beings from another world while taking this photo.

“Home Sweet Home”

Ryan is sure that this is where that orb sleeps at night….not that he talked to anybody who could actually give him that information….

“Cow Bell”

On the farm, the sound of a cow bell would call you to lunch. In Ryan’s house, all it takes is the sound of the timer on the pizza oven to know that grub is being served.

“Established 2004”

A somewhat abstract self-portrait.

“Falling”

This image is the closest likeness that Ryan has captured of what it is like to fall, after precariously stacking boxes on a wobbly chair in an effort to reach something that was intentially placed too high for him to reach.

“Just Slow”

Titled after an inside joke Ryan has with his mom and dad (one they go along with, but still don’t really “get” yet), “Just Slow” is simply a slow-motion version of “Falling”.

“The Side You Never See”

Ryan sees plenty of the front of his mother’s Kitchenaid mixer. He thought it would be more interesting from the back.

“Larry, Curly, or Mo?”

Ryan doesn’t often put his images of people on exhibit, especially after discovering that 25 pictures of his mother reading don’t hold much interest for most viewers. However, the image he captured of this little boy was just too cute to pass up.

What a budding little photographer you have there. I won some Kodak disposable cameras at 5 Minutes for Mom a couple months ago and was thinking of using a couple at Kenzie’s 3rd birthday party so kids could do something like that. ๐Ÿ™‚

  8. Marianne Says:

I think the commentary is what really makes the exhibit ๐Ÿ™‚ I’d love to see the yearbook photo from a regular perspective. I can make out someone sitting crosslegged in a striped shirt on the right but what in the heck are they sitting on???
